In Guatemala, 1 in 2 children suffer from malnutrition, and according to data from January to August 2022, a total of 26 children under 5 years of age have died from acute malnutrition, 2 more cases than in the same period in 2021.
These indicators have not shown an improvement in recent years and for that reason several initiatives have arisen that seek to combat this scourge.
One of them is the recent Guatemalans for Nutrition program: a call to action!, which aims to address this reality in a comprehensive manner.
